Christmas Chocolate Nugget Tins

The holidays are approaching us faster than we want to admit so now is the time to start your special gifts.  These little tins measure 3 1/2 X 5 1/2 and hold 12 Hershy's nuggests.
The nuggets are wrapped with Deck the Halls Designer Paper.  The wrap around the tin is a layer of Cherry Cobbler cardstock with a strip of Deck the Halls Designer Paper laying over it.  I then stamped the little labels with the Bells & Boughs stamp set found in the holiday mini catalog.  I used versa mark pad to stamp the images, then embossed with gold embossing powder and colored them in by watercoloring Cherry Cobbler, and Old Olive.  These are great gifts for a special friend, a teacher, or anyone you want to give alittle something to.  I will be having classes on this tin and another little square tin using the peppermint patties next month.  Anyone who is interested please let me know.  Well it's off to work on some more kits.

Stamps:  Lovely As A Tree, any word sets that would fit
Paper:  Stampin'Up! Gold, Always Artichoke
Ink:  Vera Mark Pad, Old Olive Craft
Accessories:  Gold Embossing Powder, Clear EP, Black EP

Oh what fun this box was.  I was hoping that maybe I could do a class in something like this in the next couple of months.  If anyone is interested let me know and I will work on setting up a time and date.

Busy getting ready for winter so have to get on the ball and take pictures of my new projects.  I am getting ready for a club, a workshop and "World Card Making Day Make and Take."  I will be setting up some classes in Christmas Cards, Christmas Tags, A Candy Tin and a cute little box.  If anyone is interested in any of those let me know and if a weekday night would work better, an afternoon or a Saturday.  Then I will be able to know how to schedule these classes.

Autumn Cards for September Club

Can you believe the change in the weather.  I guess I'm going to have to retire my summer clothes.  It hardly seems like I've worn them much this year.  Oh well, there's more time for stamping.

The card above is one we will be doing in one of my clubs in September.  I love the autumn colors.  I was inspired by a card similar by Jennifer Weide to make this card.  This is the new French Foliage Set from the Holiday Mini catalog.  The cardstock is Cherry Cobbler, (yummy), early espresso, and very vanilla.  Ink:  More Mustard, Cherry Cobbler, Early Espresso and Old Olive.  I cut the oval from the Big Shot die, Frame Oval Scallop, and took the oval out and used it to mask off the center.  I sponged crumb cake around the masking and then took it off.  Then stamped the leaves and the sentiment in the center.   This was a quick and easy card to make.

Another card we will be doing this month is from a splitcoast stampers idea.  This one is done with the "Just Believe" stamp set.  Both these cards are very simple but oh so pretty.
I used the oval from the above card to mask this one off as well.  I sponged More Mustard and the bottom with Old Olive.  The masking was removed and the image was stamped with Early Espresso.  An 5/8" Old Olive Satin ribbon was wrapped around the top piece and topped with a border made from the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border punch out of Early Espresso Cardstock.  The butterflys were cut out of a scrap of More Mustard with the "Beautiful Wings" die and ran through the Big Shot.  I don't think there is a day that goes by that I don't use my Big Shot. I love, love, love it!!!

August Stamp Club Card Samples

Isn't this a cute card.  It was a card exchange from my team leader, Teresa.  I thought that is was adorable so it was an extra card we made in our August club.  These are our three new colors, poppy parade and pear pizzaz, and wild wasabi.

Got to get busy again.  I'm trying to work on some projects for a stamp camp and also World Card Making Day.  So many different ideas, not enough time.  Have a great weekend!

Another card that we made in our August club.  This is stamped with "Natures Silhouettes", in soft suede.  The background papers were stamped with "Autumn Days".  I ran the metal strip through my Big Shot Final Press Embossing folder and cut them to fit.

Oh so easy, yet so elegant.  This was one of the cards we did in our Saturday Club in August.  The stamp set is "Just Believe", a new set in the 2010-2011 catalog.  What  a  versitile set, so many different cards you can make with it.  The ladies really had fun making this card. This was a card that we made at our team meeting.  This card was a project that Melinda brought for us to do at our shoe box swap.

World Card Making Day

Posted by Deb Gregoire at 3:59 PM

In celebration of World Card Making Day on October 2, I will be hosting a make and take at the St. Maries Fire Department.  The cost will be $12.00 to make 5 cards.

Celebrating five years in 2010, World Card Making Day is a day for the card-making community-hobbyists, retailers and manufacturers to unite and celebrate the connection and creativity that is the heart of card making, "states the World Card Making Day web site.

If you are interested please let me know and I'll get you signed up.
